Although it is not essential, we always suggest that parents join for the first lesson to meet the teacher and support and encourage their child (particularly if your child is between 5 and 8 years old). After the first lesson, your child should feel comfortable and confident enough to continue on their own.
Yes. Every class is taught online in real-time
All of our teachers are native English speakers from the UK. They are carefully chosen by us depending on their teaching qualifications and experience in teaching children and teenagers before they undergo an extensive screening process to ensure that they can motivate children and keep them engaged during the learning process by making the classes interesting and enjoyable.
You can cancel your child’s lesson no later than 72 hours (3 days) before the lesson is due to start. To cancel a lesson, you need to send an email requesting cancellation to our customer care team: Customercare@thettacademy.co.uk, who will process your request.
Research shows that children and young people learn best of all when the teacher has their full attention. If the lesson is too long, the children can become distracted and lose concentration. That’s why we keep our lessons to 45 minutes. However, If you think that your child could benefit from additional lessons each week, you can arrange additional hours with the teacher.
It is important that, as a parent, you are able to monitor your child’s progress. Your child’s teacher and the TT Academy team will provide you with regular reports throughout the course. In addition, once the course has started, parents are able to communicate with their child’s teacher through our online portal.
Your child can attend their class using any number of technical devices with a good internet connection, such as a desktop computer, laptop or tablet.
